Afghan is a great example of a custom map by a lesser-known mapper that got popular and was eventually promoted to an official map. The map plays great - indoor and outdoor spaces, light and dark areas, well-placed capture points, and multiple avenues of attack. Most people regard this as a large map, although it doesn't take any longer to cross the map than it does on flf_kezman (and respawn times are shorter). The difficulty of capturing the market favors the defense, but for clan matches defense-oriented maps generally produce better action and more competitive team scoring.
